Snake Game Application on Curiosity PIC32MZ EF 2.0 Development Board + High-Performance WVGA LCD Display Module with maXTouch Technology using Legato Graphics

Download

Description:

This demonstration represents the classic snake game wherein the player maneuvers the snake and tries to eat the mice (food), which eventually grows the length of the snake. The player needs to protect the snake from hitting the boundary.
The application uses the Legato Graphics library to implement the user interface. The template of each screen is made using the Legato Graphics Composer, while the snake was created using a rectangle widgets used inside a double chained list. The control for the thumbstick was implemented using the SPI driver library from Harmony 3.

Modules/Technology Used:

  • Legato Graphics Library
  • SSD1936 driver
  • SPI Driver Library
  • Time System Service Library
  • Core Timer

Hardware Used:

Software/Tools Used:

This project has been verified to work with the following versions of software tools:

Refer Project Manifest present in harmony-manifest-success.yml under the project folder firmware/src/config/default

Because Microchip regularly update tools, occasionally issue(s) could be discovered while using the newer versions of the tools. If the project doesn’t seem to work and version incompatibility is suspected, It is recommended to double-check and use the same versions that the project was tested with. To download original version of MPLAB Harmony v3 packages, refer to document How to Use the MPLAB Harmony v3 Project Manifest Feature
