Code generation and API considerations for migration from MCC
Using a configuration tool enables the user to provide a proof of concept to evaluate the device and reduce the need to understand every setting in a peripheral’s operation for proper function. The APIs generated by a configuration tool are largely determined by the requirements of the peripherals’ configured, the architecture of the device, and design decisions for API continuity, especially when associated with a framework. Therefore, an API for one device can be significantly different in size and system content from another.
