PIT period change
This example application shows how PIT period can be changed during runtime.
Description
The LED starts blinking at one second intervals. When the switch is pushed the timer is stopped. When the switch is pressed again, the period is cut in half and the timer is restarted. The timer is turned off and on every alternate switch press. When the timer is started on every alternate switch press, the period is also toggled from .5 second, .25 second intervals, .125 second intervals and 1 second intervals. There is no debounce in the switch so it is possible that pressing the switch will jump more than one interval.
